new here

I have always wanted to blog, but never really felt like I had important enough things to say to share with the blogging world. So, I guess at first I am going to keep this to myself--sort of start an online journal.

At the beginning of the year, my dad announced to the family that this was his resolution. But, in his fashion, he decided that it would not be just his resolution, but the entire family's resolution as well. Laugh more. Simple, I know, but to me that simple idea is equally as important as my other new year's resolution (no more "breaking" on my Celiac diet), and that is saying a lot. Gluten puts my life in discomfort and ultimately danger, and I think that living a life where things are always taken too seriously can do the same thing.

"It is impossible for you to be angry and laugh at the same time. Anger and laughter are mutually exclusive and you have the power to choose either."

-Wayne Dyer

This life is a gift and I would be selfish if I did not continually seek for the good beneath the bad, the silly beneath the serious and the positive beneath the negative. I know it's February and I am a little late with a resolution, but that is my resolution. Laugh more. Thank you, Daddy.

Life is good.
